REMARK: In the last years I have expanded the topic to a general theory of adaptive input-output systems located in the frameworks of Systems Engineering, Human-Machine Interaction seen as part of Systems Engineering, as well as Artificial Intelligence as part of Human-Machine Interaction. Semiotic systems are in this context only a special case of input-output systems. Since 2016 we (Doeben-Henisch, Erasmus, Tuncer) are working on a new interdisciplinary book about these topics. Besides these rather technical considerations I am also working a lot with topics in the realm of The Future of Man and intelligent Machines with argumenst from many disciplines, especially from Philosophy and Philosophy of Science. In my (german) blog cognitiveagent.org I have written meanwhile more than 400 posts about these topics! This blog stimulates many discussions and invited lectures in a great varity of events and institutions.
